What I'm looking for
Character-first stories where a single person's daily life opens up into a systemic issue. Drawn to people with agency — those who run towards the problem, not away from it. Not interested in issue films that start with the issue, or in suffering without resistance. The question is always: who is the person, and what does their world reveal?
Not interested in
Celebrity memoir or autobiography without investigative angle. Self-help, business advice, or lifestyle books. Fiction. Historical subjects without living witnesses or archival footage. Stories where rights are locked up by major studios.
